Liverpool fans are pleased with Klopp’s Alisson injury update

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Alisson may be ahead of schedule in his injury comeback.

The Brazilian has been missing since injuring his calf against Norwich City on the opening weekend of the season.

Although Liverpool have fared well without him, winning all four Premier League games and clinching UEFA Super Cup glory, his return is of huge importance.

Speaking at his pre-Newcastle United press conference on Friday, Klopp said Alisson’s return date is still a way off, but he is potentially recovering quicker than expected:

He’s improving but we can’t put any pressure on that. The target was after the next international break.

These Liverpool supporters have been reacting to Klopp’s update on Twitter.

Some of the reaction to this news has been negative, almost as if some fans expected Alisson to return sooner.

Klopp always indicated that the Brazilian wouldn’t be back until after the October international break, though.

The fact that the Liverpool manager hinted that Alisson could be back before then can only be a positive.

For now, Adrian needs to continue improving between the sticks, filling the void left by the Reds’ world class No.1.
