Liverpool have been handed two major boosts ahead of their Premier League clash with Sheffield United on Saturday as forwards Sadio Mane and Divock Origi have both returned to full training following their recent injuries.
Origi missed Liverpool’s clashes with Napoli, Chelsea and MK Dons with the ankle issue he picked up during the 3-1 win over Newcastle, whilst Mane also missed the trip to Milton Keynes with a dead leg that forced him off at Stamford Bridge.
However, both forwards were fit enough to train with their teammates at Melwood earlier today and as such, they’re both expected to be fit to face Sheff United at Bramall Lane.
If Jurgen Klopp picks his usual attacking trio, then Mane will start the game against Chris Wilder’s side, which will mean Divock Origi will likely find himself on the bench.
However, the Belgian looks to have established himself as Klopp’s first-choice in terms of his backup strikers so there’s a good chance that he features at some point off the bench on Saturday.
