Tottenham find themselves in a dreadful run of form ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Liverpool at Anfield.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have won just one of their last seven games in all competitions, with a 7-2 humiliation at home to Bayern Munich included in that run.
Over the past five years, Spurs have been almost as consistent as any team in the country, but there are now clear signs that the Pochettino era could be nearing its conclusion.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Jamie Carragher believes the north Londoners have reached the end of their cycle:
It feels like it’s physical and it’s mental maybe in the dressing room too.
There is a lack of intensity and it comes from the fact they have been together so long and they are not quite good enough.
It looks to me like this is the end of it now.

It is obvious that something is not right at Spurs, simply by looking at the level of the performances and the body language of the players.
It seems a long time ago now that they were taking on Liverpool in the Champions League final.
Spurs will still pose a big threat to the Reds this weekend, given the individual quality they possess, but Jurgen Klopp’s men have to fancy their chances.
Carragher is right, Pochettino has gone as far as he can.
