It is no great surprise to see Liverpool and City potentially locking horns in a battle to sign young talent.

They are arguably the two best teams in the Europe currently, with Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola widely regarded as the finest managers on the planet, too.

It will be interesting to see who appeals more to Daramy, should the interest be genuine and a chance to join either club arises.

He is still maturing as a player, so certainly would be an immediate squad player, but his hopes of featuring more in the future would arguably be greater at Liverpool.

Klopp is a keen advocate of youth, rather than simply spending big on world-renowned players for the sake of it.
