Salah posts image of ankle amid injury layoff fears
Mohamed Salah has posted an image of his injured ankle, amid fears that he could miss a chunk of upcoming action.
We believe the Egyptian could miss three to four weeks of action, with the club allowing him an extended break to recovery from injury.
That would mean Salah being out once Liverpool’s relentless December fixtures get underway, potentially even making his participation at the Club World Cup doubtful.
The 27-year-old has posted the following photograph on Instagram, showing work being done on his ankle by former Reds youngster Richie Partridge, who is now a physiotherapist:

This image is unlikely to fill Liverpool supporters with too much confidence.
Salah was somewhere close to his best against Manchester City last Sunday, scoring in the Reds’ 3-1 win, so it is a big blow to lose him for a time.
He has clearly been struggling with fitness issues for a while, though, and a spell out of the team could do him good.
Such is Salah’s vast influence, however, Liverpool will miss him hugely while he is out, if that happens to be the case.
