Liverpool are interested in a move to sign Sevilla centre-back Diego Carlos at the end of the season
According to Spanish outlet Eldesmarque, Liverpool are keen on the defender and are said to be willing to meet his €75m release clause in order to sign him.
The report also claims that Real Madrid have him in mind as a long-term replacement for Sergio Ramos, but Liverpool are looking to swoop in and secure a deal.

READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT
Carlos has started 18 games in La Liga for Sevilla this season and recorded a WhoScored average rating of 6.68/10 per-game. He has also averaged 1.3 tackles and five clearances per-game for Sevilla, which would rank 8th and 2nd in Liverpool’s squad respectively this season.
At 26, he should also be hitting his prime. This means that Liverpool would be picking him up at the ideal moment in his career, much like they did with Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton. They signed him just ahead of his prime years and have been getting the best out of the Dutchman, so hopefully they can look to emulate that with the addition of Carlos if they can secure an agreement.
