Timo Werner would ‘love to play’ under Jurgen Klopp, according to Viasport presenter Jan Aage Fjortoft on Twitter.
The RB Leipzig striker could be one of the most sought-after players in the summer transfer window, with Liverpool one of a number of top clubs linked with him, as well as Chelsea.
Reports in Bild on Monday suggested Anfield would be Werner’s ‘preferred goal’ and Fjortoft has backed up that story.
The former Premier League striker claims it is a deal he ‘can see’ happening, with the 23-year-old expected to leave Leipzig in the summer.
Fjortoft goes on to claim that it could be the ‘best signing of the summer’ if it comes to fruition.

I think Werner would be a wonderful signing by Liverpool, looking every bit a Klopp player.
The Germany striker has 20 goals to his name in the Bundesliga this season and looks tailor-made to thrive in English football.
His combination of technical quality, battling attitude and team ethic would fit right in with the Reds, providing huge competition in attacking areas.
Not being able to guarantee Werner regular starts could be a potential drawback, but then again, Klopp could have something up his sleeve.
A regular switch to a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Roberto Firmino dropping deep behind Werner, would make for an even greater attacking unit, in my opinion.
Even more attacking depth is also essential, though, and it may be that the Leipzig star is simply happy with slightly more of a squad role.
