Some Liverpool supporters have been left perplexed by Robbie Savage’s comments about Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian once again showed how priceless he is to this Reds side on Saturday, scoring the equaliser in their 2-1 win at home to Bournemouth.
The Egyptian produced a clinical finish at a time when Jurgen Klopp’s side were struggling, scoring his 70th goal in 100 Premier League appearances for Liverpool.
Only Alan Shearer has managed a better strike rate in Premier League history, summing up what a phenomenal signing Salah has been.
On Sunday, Robbie Savage made a bold claim on BBC Radio 5 Live, however, saying Jadon Sancho, who has 14 goals and 15 assists in the Bundesliga this season, would be an upgrade on the 27-year-old this summer.
"I would play Sancho next season instead of Salah” 👀@RobbieSavage8 said that he'd walk straight into #LFC's starting XI…

The young Englishman has been linked with a move to Liverpool at the end of the season, following another superb campaign for Borussia Dortmund.
These Reds fans have been reacting to Savage’s remarks on Twitter, accusing him of talking nonsense on the matter.
Embarrassing and delusional

It’s a really weird thing how people under appreciate Salah, at this moment you do not get better, and he’s in his prime!

So he saying our top goal scorer for the past two seasons and our current top scorer this season gets dropped?!!!
I’m confused. Oh wait I got it it’s because Sancho is English and we love to overhype our own players.— Mo S (@Moessi81) March 8, 2020

I thought this fan handled this very well. Robbie trying to get a controversial answer from the la, he stood his ground and was spot on. Sancho is a brilliant talent. But he doesn’t get in ahead of our front 3. That said he would definitely get game time in rotation with them.
