Liverpool linked with move to sign Monaco’s Wissam Ben Yedder

Liverpool and Tottenham are just two of the clubs interested in making moves to sign Monaco forward Wissam Ben Yedder, according to a report from French outlet L’Equipe.

The French international only moved to Monaco in the summer of 2019 but he’s performed well and as is often their club policy, the Ligue 1 side are apparently willing to cash in on him.

A host of clubs, including Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Valencia are also being linked with the 29-year-old, who Monaco reportedly value at €45m.

Ben Yedder has shown over a number of years that he’s a player who can deliver goals and assists, so it’s no surprise to see plenty of clubs being linked with him.

However, a €45m outlay on a 29-year-old doesn’t really seem to match the transfer policy of Liverpool or Tottenham, and it feels more like the type of signing that Man United would make.

However, he’s clearly a very talented player who could improve the squads of the Reds and Spurs, but we feel it’s unlikely that he’ll be joining either club this summer.
