Mustafa Dogru, the agent of Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu has admitted that there are clubs interested in signing his client this summer, despite the ongoing global events which are affecting the finances of football clubs all over the world.

Soyuncu has emerged as a star at Leicester this season following the departure of Harry Maguire to Manchester United and as such, it seems like a few clubs are interested in signing him.

Barcelona have been tipped to make a move for the Turkish international this summer and speaking to Spanish outlet AS, as cited by F356, Dogru confirmed that he has held talks with the Catalan side.

He said:

It is possible Caglar can go to play for Barcelona this summer. [They] already wanted to sign him when he played for Altinordu. We have negotiated with them and they have presented a project but we think that he should go to a team where he is a permanent starter.

Both Man United and Man City have been linked with moves for the 23-year-old but hen asked about the other clubs who Soyuncu could join, Dogru said Liverpool are the only other English side he could join.

I think only Liverpool have the power to sign Caglar in the Premier League because of his economic conditions, but we must not forget French teams. PSG could be a surprise.

Soyuncu has emerged as one of the league’s best defenders since Leicester soid Maguire to United, so it’s no shock to see him being linked with transfers and for his agent to be talking him up.

Alongside Jonny Evans, the Turkish star has provided the Foxes with a solid foundation, one which they’ve built upon very well as they’ve pushed for a Champions League place.

Aged 23, Soyuncu does fit the profile of player that the Reds could looks to sign, but if he wants guarenteed first-team football, then a move to Liverpool might not be too appealing as Jurgen Klopp seems to have settled on Joe Gomez as the preferred partner for Virgil van Dijk.
