Liverpool have fitness concerns over two of their key players just ten days before they get their season back underway against Everton.
The Reds faced Blackburn Rovers in a friendly game at Anfield earlier today but did so without left-back Andrew Robertson and star striker Mohamed Salah.
At this stage, there is no word as to why the duo missed the game, but the pair have also sat out of a few training sessions so their availability for the game on Sunday, June 21st must surely now be in question.
There’s still plenty of time for the pair to get fit, of course, but after their lay-off of over two months, Jurgen Klopp and his fitness staff would much prefer if the pair were training fully and getting minutes in their legs in friendly games.
If Robertson isn’t fit for the Derby, then James Milner will almost certainly play at left-back.
If Salah doesn’t make it, then Klopp will need to choose between his other attacking options but given his record against Everton in the past, Divock Origi would be favourite to start the game.
