Leeds will do all they can to sign reported Liverpool target Ben White on a permanent deal this summer, according to a former United winger Eddie Gray, who spoke to the Sunday Post.
After selling Dejan Lovren to Zenit St. Petersburg for around £10.9m, Liverpool could be on the market for a new central defender and they have been linked with a move for White, who spent last season on loan at Leeds from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Given his performances for Leeds, it’s understandable to see why Brighton aren’t in any hurry to let White leave.
The Seagulls find themselves in a strong position where they can simply keep White and add him to their first-team squad or cash in on him for a big fee later in the window.
Leeds seem very keen to get the defender and that could be a worry for Liverpool as the player could fancy moving to Yorkshire where he’d play every week over a move to Liverpool where he’d almost certainly be a back-up option.
The Reds could be in the market for a defender after selling Dejan Lovren, but time will tell if they make a move for White this summer.
