Belgian outlet Het Belang van Limburg have reported that it remains possible that Liverpool will make an attempt to sign attacker Jeremy Doku from Anderlecht.
Tenuously linked with the Belgian youngster for some time, The Reds have reportedly made contact with the representatives of the 18-year-old in the past.
The latest report linking Jurgen Klopp’s side with a move for the new Belgium international claims that a fee of £27.5million would be required to take the starlet from Anderlecht.
The Jupiler Pro League club, who are managed by former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany, would also want the player back on a season-long loan before finally allowing him to leave.
The talented teenager has begun this season in fine form, leading to speculation he could be set for a transfer to one of Europe’s elite. n just six appearances, Doku has scored twice and made a further three assists.
The current Liverpool squad clearly does not need another winger right now with both Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah at the very peak of their powers and with Diogo Jota signed as an understudy.
However, at just 18 years old and clearly with bags of potential, securing an emerging star of this ilk could be crucial in providing long term success at Anfield.
