Roberto Firmino picked up a potential foot injury in training on Tuesday, according to the Liverpool Echo‘s Paul Gorst.
The Brazilian was preparing for Wednesday’s Champions League clash away to Midtjylland alongside his Liverpool teammates, but required treatment from a club physio.
The issue isn’t thought to be serious, however, with Gorst claiming Firmino ‘didn’t appear to be in pain’, which will come as a relief to Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool’s No.9 has shown signs of returning to form in recent weeks and the Reds can’t afford too many more injury problems.
It remains to be seen if Firmino will feature against Midtjylland, in what is a dead rubber European game.

I don’t think Firmino should be used on Wednesday night, regardless of an injury, but if there is any concern over his fitness, Klopp shouldn’t even consider using him.
In truth, there is very little resting on the game, allowing the manager to play fringe players and youngsters, and give key men the night off.
Firmino fits into the latter category, and keeping him fresh and prepared for the upcoming Premier League games against Fulham, Tottenham and Crystal Palace makes far more sense.
