Many Liverpool fans have reacted to the potential loan departure of Dutch youngster Sepp van den Berg as a number of clubs enquire over his availability.
Van den Berg could be heading abroad as clubs from Belgium, Germany and Switzerland all reportedly show their interest in the 19-year-old central defender.
The Dutch teenager could also link up with Harvey Elliott, who has set the Championship alight at Blackburn Rovers. The Lancashire side and a host of other domestic clubs are interested in taking the Liverpool prodigy on loan until the end of the current campaign.
Signed back in June 2019 as a 17-year-old, Van den Berg arrived as a hot prospect but has only featured four times in Jurgen Klopp’s first team.
Loaning out a teenager with just four senior appearances would normally go under the radar with little fuss, but owing to the current injury crisis at Anfield, allowing a central defender to leave this month is a pretty damning indictment of both him and the club.
Nothing gets past ardent Kopites and plenty of them have picked up on what this move could spell for Van den Berg…
