Liverpool are ‘seriously’ looking at signing centre-back Ibrahima Konate this summer, according to the Independent‘s Miguel Delaney.
The Reds have been linked with the RB Leipzig star in the past, but ended up bringing in Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak in January.
Despite this, Liverpool are still believed to be eyeing up defensive reinforcements at the end of the season, with Konate one of the front-runners.
Manchester United and Chelsea are also keen on bringing in the 21-year-old, however, in what could be a battle for his signature.

Konate is an excellent young centre-back who ticks a lot of the boxes to be required at Liverpool.
The Frenchman has won an average of 3.0 aerial duels per game in the Bundesliga this season, which is the same as Joe Gomez (3.0) and more than Virgil van Dijk (2.4), prior to their injuries.
With Gomez and Joel Matip injury-prone, and Van Dijk not getting any younger, it makes sense to bring in another defender in the summer.
Davies may only prove to be stop-gap for Liverpool, while Kabak is currently only a loan signing.
