Liverpool Football Club is perhaps synonymous with no two individuals more so than Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley.
The two legendary managers and both honoured in statue form and in numerous songs bellowed out from a full Kop on matchdays.
Having won 30 major trophies between them for the Reds – Paisley with 20 and Shankly with 10 – the duo are rightly upheld as God-like figures on Merseyside.
After studying Shankly for 15 years as assistant manager, Paisley was appointed manager of Liverpool Football Club on July 26, 1974.
Some three years later, the pair appeared on the TV show ‘This Is Your Life’ to reunite, footage of which has been unearthed on Twitter.

In the touching video, Paisley joked that the two never had time for disagreements as they ‘had to plan where to put all the cups they’d won’.

Icons of the game don’t come much greater than this pair and Liverpool fans can be extremely proud, as well as grateful, they were once at the helm at Anfield.
Major trophies aside – which is some ask – both managers oversaw glorious times and constructed elite sides that have made Liverpool Football Club’s history so rich and the envy of so many.
