On this day in 1996, Liverpool legend Bob Paisley passed away at the age of 79, following a glittering career in management.
Paisley guided the Reds throughout a wonderful period during the club’s history in the 1970s and 1980s, guiding them to numerous trophies as they dominated both the English and European game and cemented their place in football history.
He is undoubtedly one of the most important individuals in the history of Liverpool Football Club, not to mention a special person who was adored by Reds supporters around the world.
