Elliott will return to the Reds ahead of the 2021/22 campaign full of confidence and looking to force his way into Jurgen Klopp’s first-team plans.
With the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi perhaps on their collective way out of Merseyside, the teenager can be hopeful of making an impact at Anfield.
Whilst nobody can expect Elliott to emulate Mohamed Salah, or even this seasons exploits, providing a backup and alternative option certainly looks to be within his capabilities.
