Summer is often one of the more exciting times to be a football fan, despite there being no club football to enjoy.
Forgetting the obvious added bonus of the delayed European Championships getting underway, the months away from the action are often filled with speculation, transfers and of course – new kits.
After a mixed inaugural campaign with new kit suppliers Nike, Liverpool have already officially released the home shirt for 2021/22 – equipped with dark orange trim.
Now attentions have turned to the away and third choice strips, with the mooted away design attracting plenty of necessary interest.
According to @AnfieldFtbl on Twitter, the kit pictured below is an official design ready to be wheeled out for adoring Kopites in the coming days and weeks.

There is no indication as to whether the kit is indeed the real deal or when a possible release date may be forthcoming.

Albeit maybe simply, but the colour scheme harks back to kits of yesteryear and frankly is exquisite.
Just the type of strip Jurgen Klopp could have wished for to return his side to their recent glories, equipped with a returning Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip – as well as hopefully some more new signings.
