Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has been discussing the level of talent at the club coming through the academy ranks.
Having come through the famed academy with the Reds to become a Premier League, European and World champion, the 22-year-old has already reached a position of superstardom in the world game.
Now, Alexander-Arnold can observe and mentor the next crop of youngsters breaking into the first-team at Anfield with well-established confidence and guidance.
Speaking to The Athletic as part of an insightful interview, as cited on Twitter, the Scouse star was full of admiration for Kaide Gordon in particular.

Gordon, a 16-year-old signed from Derby County in February, has featured prominently in Jurgen Klopp’s pre-season plans and has earned praise from Alexander-Arnold.
Kaide has so much potential; it’s frightening, really. Kaide will be looking up to Mo (Mohamed Salah) and trying to pick bits from him because, on and off the pitch, Mo is an outstanding athlete and an outstanding person.

Earning praise from teammates is one thing but from a player with the track record and career path of the 13-cap England man.
Having already broken and beaten his own assist record from right-back, Alexander-Arnold will be hoping the 2021/22 campaign can bring more success and perhaps further sightings of Gordon in the process.
With the likes of the ex-Derby youngster and Harvey Elliott coming through the ranks on Merseyside, Kopites can be hopeful the future is in good hands – perhaps with a certain West Derby born ace as captain in years to come.
