Former Premier League striker Gabby Agbonlahor has written off the chances of Liverpool reclaiming the Premier League title this season.
The Reds fell some way short last season during what should’ve been their strong title defence as injuries decimated the squad throughout the campaign.
Now back to full fitness, Jurgen Klopp‘s squad has a wholly fresher look than certain stages last term.
However, ex-Aston Villa man Agbonlahor has told talkSPORT that Liverpool won’t be bouncing back anytime soon.
I think Liverpool will finish fourth. They’ve got no chance of winning the league.
Klopp’s side have made an unbeaten start to the new season, dropping points for the first time on Saturday in a 1-1 draw with likely title protagonists Chelsea at Anfield.

Agbonlahor certainly isn’t the first pundit to play down Liverpool’s chances of doing something special this term.
Much of the disregard seems to stem from a dismal 2020/21 campaign, rivals spending big and a relatively quiet summer transfer window at Anfield.
But, as Kopites will attest to, with Klopp at the helm and the world-class talents of Mohamed Salah, Fabinho and Virgil van Dijk in situ, anything remains possible.
Albeit some time has passed since Jordan Henderson lifted the trophy aloft in the epicentre of the Kop, the club have since strengthened to the tune of Ibrahima Konate, Kostas Tsimikas, Diogo Jota and Thiago – four players that would grace any elite club.
