Former Blackburn Rovers midfielder Craig Hignett has claimed Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham is destined to arrive at Liverpool.
The 18-year-old sensation has been linked with a move to the Reds in recent months and the Bundesliga side are believed to have placed a £101million price tag on the teen to stave off suitors.
However, speaking on BBC Radio Merseyside over the weekend, Hignett let slip that the England international is heading for a move to Anfield.
I think I’ve heard it on good authority and I can’t say where I’ve heard it from, but apparently, he has been saying that he is Liverpool bound. Whether that is January or whether that is the end of the season isn’t sure yet, but I think, I have it on good authority that it is almost a cert.
Described as ‘extraordinary’ by Marco Rose, Bellingham has scored seven and assisted 10 goals since swapping Birmingham City for Dortmund.
This season the dynamic teenage midfielder has nine direct goal contributions from just 16 appearances across all competitions.

Whoever signs Bellingham will be standing their midfield in healthy stead for the next decade at least.
Supremely talented and still so young, Kopites will hope Hignett’s information is on the money.
Valued at £63million and under contract in Germany until 2025 (Transfermarkt), with James Milner reaching the twilight of his career nad midfield injury problems worsening, the club would be wise to pay whatever it takes to land the teen.
