Liverpool are reportedly ‘on alert’ to the prospect of signing Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski.
The 33-year-old striker is believed to be seeking a new challenge in the twilight of what has been an astonishing career to date.
Having amassed a remarkable 324 goals in 354 appearances for the Bavarian club, Lewandowski is now seemingly ‘bound’ for the Premier League after 12 years in Germany.
That’s according to Sky Sports Germany reporter Marc Behrenbeck (via FourFourTwo), as cited by Bill Bennett on Twitter.

The report claims that the 128-cap Poland captain ‘will be moving in the summer’ with the Reds, Chelsea and Manchester City all attentive to the prospect.
This season Lewandowski has scored 30 times and provided three assists in 25 appearances across all competitions.

Valued at £45million and under contract at the Allianz Arena until 2023 (Transfermarkt), any deal for the powerful Pole would still be an expensive outlay.
Showing no signs of slowing down and boasting an impressive injury record, Lewandowski clearly still has plenty to offer at the very highest level.
As Jurgen Klopp looks to rejuvenate the attacking ranks at Anfield, reuniting with Lewandowski – a manager for whom the frontman scored 102 times in 186 outings – would be an opportunity that’s impossible to ignore.
