Liverpool Transfer News: Yan Diomande Personal Terms Agreed For Record Transfer Deal

Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with Yan Diomande, but the claim remains unconfirmed by the club and RB Leipzig still appear to be the major obstacle to any deal.

The update was surfaced by LiverpoolFC.com’s Media Watch, which pointed to a fresh TEAMtalk report on Diomande stating that an understanding exists between the player’s camp and Liverpool.

That is a notable development in the wider Liverpool transfer news cycle because Diomande has already been framed as a leading winger target. However, TEAMtalk also stressed that supporters should be cautious, with several steps still required before a transfer could be completed.

Leipzig agreement still the decisive step

The key issue remains RB Leipzig. The Bundesliga club are reported to value the 19-year-old Ivory Coast international at around £128million, a figure that would make Diomande the most expensive signing in Premier League history if Liverpool went that far.

That sits alongside the existing context: Liverpool have already seen one package rejected and were said to be preparing a stronger approach, as covered in our previous Diomande bid update.

Diomande’s appeal is obvious. With Mohamed Salah’s future already reshaping Liverpool’s attacking plan and the club still looking at another wide forward, a player-side agreement would represent meaningful groundwork.

For now, though, this is still a reported agreement rather than a Liverpool confirmation. Until Leipzig accept a fee, the Diomande chase remains live, expensive and unresolved.
