Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno has been linked with a move back to his homeland to join Rafa Benitez’s Real Madrid.
However, the 23-year-old said that neither he or his representatives have had any contact from the Spanish giants.
Moreno said:
I have never had anything serious with them – not me, not my brothers or representatives. I have not found out about that [Real Madrid interest], I do not know whether that is true.
While Moreno seemed keen to cool talk of a possible move to Madrid, his agent, Javier Moya, was happy to talk up the possibility and said his client would be happy to make such a transfer if the opportunity presented itself.

Moya said:
If Real Madrid were to make an offer that would make him really happy, but Liverpool would have to take the first step.
If a team as important as Real Madrid were to speak with us and Liverpool were satisfied with the operation, we would talk.
Inquiring about an important player is logical, that is normal. Important teams from Spain and other places are asking. It’s difficult.
Everyone knows the importance of Real Madrid but Liverpool have five European Cups.
Moreno was signed by the then Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers for £12m in 2014 and featured prominently in his first year at the club. However, at the start of the 2015/16 campaign, he was dropped to the substitute’s bench with Rodgers preferring to start youngster Joe Gomez at left-back.
Since Gomez was ruled out for the season, the Spaniard has featured regularly and seems to have found a new lease of life under new boss Jurgen Klopp.
