Liverpool were dealt a huge blow during their win over Brighton as Alisson was shown a straight red card for handball outside of the area.
Alisson rushed out to clear the ball and palmed it away with hands, but did so after leaving his penalty area – resulting in a justified red card.
It has been confirmed, by the Premier League, that Alisson will receive a one-match ban.

This means that Alisson will return for the game against Bournemouth next weekend, but watch on from the sidelines in the derby match at home to Everton on Wednesday.

Adrian struggled after coming off the bench against Brighton, although you could hardly blame him given the circumstances. He also made a number of errors whilst Alisson was injured earlier in the season, yet none of them cost Liverpool – with the Reds still unbeaten in the Premier League this term.
There is no doubting that Alisson is Liverpool’s best goalkeeper, and one of the best in the world, but Adrian stepping in for one match is hardly the end of the world all things considered.
