Carlo Ancelotti insists he never spoke to Liverpool regarding the club’s vacant managerial position.
Ancelotti told Goal.com he was not approached for the job that was eventually filled by Jürgen Klopp.

Harry Redknapp was one person who’d publicly claimed the Italian had been contacted by the Reds to succeed Brendan Rodgers, but Ancelotti has denied that was the case.
With Liverpool, there was no contact. When a job becomes available, they always use the names of the coaches currently without a team, so, my name was thrown out there. But I never had any direct contact with the directors of Liverpool.
The 56-year-old has been unemployed since he left Real Madrid at the end of last season, and as such, as he discusses above, he has been linked to certain managerial jobs, with Liverpool’s position being one of them.
The former PSG, Milan, Juventus and Chelsea manager holds a wealth of experience, of that there is no doubt.
Liverpool plumped for the German, Klopp, however, which leaves Ancelotti still without a job.
