Marco Asensio is reportedly tempted by a switch to Liverpool, amid reports Real Madrid do not want to sell the midfielder.
Asensio could be set to leave Madrid, with a lack of game time frustrating the Spaniard. The midfielder is currently on international duty with Spain, but has struggled to make the starting eleven for his country.
The Express report that Asensio could be in line for a sensational £158 million deal for the Spaniard, breaking the fee spent by the Reds on Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.
Liverpool are also reportedly keen on handing Asensio a large wage increase to tempt him into a potential move to Anfield.
Asensio’s agent also confirmed that Madrid had received an offer from an English team for Asensio.
The player’s agent ,Horacio Gaggioli, said:
He has an extraordinary future.
“You can imagine that [the offers] come from England because they can afford it without any problems.
“They could even raise it.
