Besiktaz have today confirmed the signing of Loris Karius on a two year loan deal.
The deal had been thought to have been with a view to a permanent switch. However, the two clubs have so far only agreed a loan deal.
The German looked set to depart Liverpool after a disastrous Champions League Final. The keeper apologised for the ordeal, but still suffered some abuse from the Liverpool support.
Karius had taken the number one shirt last season away from Simon Mignolet. However, with the signing of Brazilian keeper Alisson from Roma, Karius was firmly the backup.
Simon Mignolet will now be the backup to Alisson, with the Belgian also linked with a move to Turkey earlier this Summer.
