Chelsea confident of beating Liverpool to signing of Sancho

Chelsea are reportedly confident of beating Liverpool to the signing of Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho.

According to TalkSport, Chelsea believe that they will be able to land Sancho ahead of both Liverpool and Manchester United.

The report claims that they will make a move for him in the January window, with Dortmund said to be demanding a fee in the region of £120m for the teenager.

Sancho has registered nine goals and nine assists in 14 Bundesliga starts this season, after 12 goals and 14 assists in 26 starts last term.

Sancho has proven in the last 18 months that he has what it takes to consistently produce at the top level. He has become one of Dortmund’s most valuable players and is now a regular for England at international record. His statistics speak for themselves, with a staggering 23 league assists since the start of last season.

There is no doubting that he is a special talent, at just 19, and it is no surprise to see Liverpool are interested in him. However, the Reds will need to move quickly if Chelsea feel confident of landing him – as there must be a reason for their sudden confidence. If Liverpool are serious about signing Sancho, they need to act fast and strike a deal with the German giants.
