Former Liverpool midfielder Jason McAteer has urged the Reds to make a move for Chelsea star N’Golo Kante.
McAteer, who spent four years at Anfield during his 15-year playing career, believes that the energetic Frenchman would be one of the missing pieces in Jurgen Klopp’s jigsaw.

Talking to the Racing Post, cited by the Daily Express, McAteer said:
He (Fabinho) and N’Golo Kante at Chelsea are the two best players in the Premier League playing that role – Kante is definitely one of the final pieces in Jurgen Klopp’s jigsaw.
The comments, as expected, quickly done the rounds on social media, and a section of Liverpool supporters responded after the Mirror tweeted out the news, with many believing that the Reds don’t need the World Cup winner.

Kante is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2023, so it would take a huge offer for the Blues to even consider selling.
As some fans mentioned, Liverpool already have one of the best holding midfielders in the world in Fabinho, so do they really need the 28-year-old?
They’d probably be better off searching for an attacking midfielder, but who knows, they may well contact Chelsea over a potential deal for Kante following McAteer’s comments.
