Haaland enjoyed a sensational first-half of the season with Salzburg, scoring 28 goals in 22 games in all competitions. He bagged eight goals in six games in the Champions League, including scoring against Liverpool.
However, Dortmund have moved quickly to secure a deal before the window has even been officially opened – beating their English rivals to the punch. If the 19-year-old is able to transfer his goalscoring prowess to the top European leagues, it may turn out to be a deal Liverpool wish they had competed harder for, given the promise he has shown this season. The teenage forward is already a full international for Norway and will now be able to develop alongside Jadon Sancho and Marco Reus at Dortmund, making one of the most interesting front three’s in Europe.
