Manchester City shot-stopper Ederson has opened up on his close friendship with Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.
The Brazilian stars are both regarded as the best in their position in the modern era, especially because of their incredible ability to pass the ball.

Due to Manchester City and Liverpool’s recent rivalry, the two players have become rivals but Ederson admitted that it is only for the duration of the matches.
As quoted on the Daily Mail, he said:
I have a good relationship, not only with Alisson but also with [Roberto] Firmino and Fabinho.
When we have a day off on the same day, we sometimes gather, we have a barbecue.
It’s difficult with our routine and the amount of games to have the same day off, but we have done it a few times before. Our rivalry is only on the pitch.

Fans of both clubs defend their man passionately but it is refreshing to see the two compatriots being close despite all the comparisons.
Some prefer Ederson, whilst others feel Alisson is superior, but the best conclusion is that both men are superb at what they do.
It’s nice to see that despite being involved in an intense title race, the players still gather and spend their quality time together. As the famous saying goes, what happens on the pitch stays on the pitch.
