Liverpool look set to secure a deal to sign Japanese midfielder Takumi Minamino from RB Salzburg, according to reports.
The Reds look set to activate the midfielder’s release clause that only stands at £7 million.
He would become Liverpool’s first signing of the January window, adding some quality to the midfield.

However the deal is still subject to the player passing a medical with the Reds, with Minamino joining the Reds on January 1st if the deal is completed.
Several other sides were thought to be interested in signing the midfielder, with the likes of Borussia Monchelgadbach, AC Milan and Manchester United all looking at a deal.
