The full extent of Roberto Firmino’s eye injury has been revealed, with the Brazilian being released from the hospital after examinations.
In an update on LiverpoolFC.com, the club announced that the examination has revealed that confirmed an abrasion of the eye, but there will be no lasting damage to the Brazilian’s eye.
The striker was sent to the hospital after being forced off the pitch after Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Tottenham at Wembley.

However, Firmino will be assessed before the Reds begin their Champions League campaign against Paris Saint Germain next week. But, Firmino has not been ruled out of the fixture yet, so could potentially feature
The striker travelled back separately from his teammates with club doctor Andy Massey, with his teammates recording a video message for their injured comrade.
The striker is therefore likely to return to action soon, with the injury being less serious than first expected.
