Five Liverpool players you’ll want to develop on FIFA 16

Ah, FIFA 16: the profound piece of technology that your dad calls a waste of time, your girlfriend is jealous of the time and effort you endear it with, because she doesn’t understand nor does she want to, yet what you call a nifty way to waste some free time ranging anywhere between 20 minutes and 8 hours.

Okay, your dad and girlfriend may just be right, but you are too.

FIFA is an escapism faux reality that can be tinged to be as effortless and uncomplicated as you please or as challenging and arduous as you feel ambitious enough to pursue.

Liverpool fans haven’t seen a player from their squad touch the Premier League trophy, but with FIFA 16, Liverpool fans can virtually attain it.

They can take their young players and optimistically project into their future. In real life, is it more likely that Jordan Rossiter is the second coming of Steven Gerrard or Jonjo Shelvey? We all know the answer.

They can take their transfer budget and invest how they would love to see Ian Ayre do. Is it more likely that Liverpool purchase the next Fernando Torres or the next Iago Aspas? We certainly all know this answer.

Liverpool have a plethora of young talent that, if molded correctly, forms a large nucleus of players to return the team to glory. For Liverpool fans, we’ll take any anterior success we can get because the real life version of success has been as prevalent as a Lucas Leiva goal. Or even a forward pass.

So when you pick up your career mode and take over for Brendan Rodgers, or assume your identity as the Brodg, here are five players you’re going to want to hold onto and develop.

Spoiler alert: Jordon Ibe doesn’t make his way onto the list due to FIFA criminally undervaluing his potential while Joe Gomez is plagued by FIFA 16 with the same faulty crystal ball.
