Four Findings: Liverpool 5-2 Everton

The last time Liverpool found themselves on a winning streak like this, Everton ended their run.

This time, however, the Reds dismissed their fiercest rivals at Anfield, in a 5-2 thrashing that extended their unbeaten Premier League run to a club record 32 matches.

In spite of a host of changes, Liverpool rewarded Anfield by sending Everton back across Stanley Park without a victory for the 18th consecutive time.

That is the longest run the Reds have enjoyed against any side in the Premier League – given that it is Everton, it makes it all the sweeter.

Divock Origi opened the scoring after profiting from a lovely pass from Sadio Mane, before the Senegalese assisted Xherdan Shaqiri to make it 2-0.

Michael Keane quickly pulled a goal back, but Origi and Mane added further efforts and Richarlison headed home before the interval.

A quieter second half saw Gini Wijnaldum score the only goal, putting the icing on the cake in the final minutes.

Here are four findings from the match.
