How did Liverpool’s loan players fare this week?

Liverpool had a number of their players out on loan featuring for their sides last weekend, but how did they get on?

Danny Ings started for Southampton in the Premier League and scored in the 54th minute in a 2-1 loss away at Everton.

Theo Walcott and Richarlison got the goals for the Toffees in the 15th and 31st minute respectively.

Ben Woodburn played the first half for Sheffield United in the Championship, in an advanced midfield role in a 3-5-2 formation, where his side beat Norwich 2-1.

John Egan got the first for the Blades, but Jordan Rhodes equalised, but Billy Sharp scored the winner in the 93rd minute to claim all three points.

Harry Wilson missed Derby’s 2-1 defeat to Millwall in the Championship due to a minor muscle injury.

Lee Gregory and Shaun Williams got the goals for Millwall, while David Nugent scored for Frank Lampard’s Derby.

Herbie Kane played 59 minutes for Doncaster Rovers in League 1 as his side lost 1-0 away to Burton, Liam Boyce scored the only goal in that game.

Shamal George was once again the backup keeper on the bench for Tranmere Rovers in League 2 as they got beat 3-2 off Swindon in a five-goal thriller.

Over in Scotland, Ovie Ejaria and Ryan Kent both played the full game of Ranger’s 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock in the Scottish League Cup Round of 16.

Alfredo Morelos scored a hattrick for Steven Gerrard’s men and Borna Barisic scored an own goal.

Adam Bogdan again missed Hibernian’s game this week through injury, Hibs beat Ross County 3-2 again the Scottish League Cup Round of 16.

In Belgium, Taiwo Awoniyi played the first half for KAA Gent in the Belgium Pro League as they beat KAS Eupen 3-2.
