Liverpool got things right against Manchester City on Sunday, with goals from Fabinho, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane earning them a thrilling 3-1 win.
The victory increased their lead on City to nine points in the Premier League, as well as having an eight-point advantage over Leicester City and Chelsea.

Wilson scored the opener for Bournemouth on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to see off Newcastle United, who bounced back to complete a 2-1 win.
The Cherries moved down to ninth place in the Premier League in the process.

Huddersfield Town lost 3-1 away to Preston on Saturday, with Grabara playing the full game in goal.
The Terriers subsequently slipped down to 19th place in the Championship.

Ejaria won Man of the Match for the third game in a row as he scored for Reading in a 3-0 victory over Luton in the Championship.

Sheyi Ojo – Rangers
Rangers were in action in the Europa League last Thursday, but Ojo had to watch from the substitutes’ bench as Steven Gerrard’s men saw off Porto 2-0 at Ibrox.
Ojo then failed to start on Sunday, but was introduced for former Liverpool man Ryan Kent in the 58th minute, as Rangers won 2-0 away to Livingston.

Millar came off the bench in the 77th minute, as Kilmarnock drew 2-2 at home to 10-man Hamilton.

Grujic was dropped to the bench for Hertha Berlin, as they opted for a change of shape with just two central players in a 3-4-3 formation.

Awoniyi was absent from the squad for Mainz as they lost again, this time against Union Berlin.

Stuttgart lost 1-0 to VfL Osnabruck on Saturday, but Phillips played no part.
They remain in third place in the 2. Bundesliga.

Loris Karius – Besiktas
Besiktas continued their awful run in the Europa League with another defeat, this time a 3-1 loss away to Braga, in which Karius played the full game in goal.
The German bounced back with a clean sheet on Sunday, with Besiktas returning to winning ways after a 1-0 home victory over Denizlispor in the Turkish Super Lig.

Allan de Souza – Fluminense
Allan played the full game in a deep-lying midfield role last Thursday, as Fluminense won 2-0 away to Sao Paulo in the Brazilian Serie A.
