Loris Karius will return to Liverpool at the end of the season, according to Besiktas manager Sergen Yalcin.
The 26-year-old is currently on a two-year loan deal in Turkey, but he has flattered to deceive there.
For example, he won Man of the Match against Alanyaspor back in 2018/19, but there has also been unhappiness at his performances this season, following a mistake against Caykur Rizespor.
Karius may have hoped to rebuild his career after his nightmare for Liverpool in the 2018 Champions League final, but that hasn’t necessarily gone to plan.
Speaking to Fotospor over the weekend, Yalcin confirmed that the goalkeeper’s time at the club is coming to an end.
We are currently playing with Karius. We do not intend to make much changes. The end of the season he will probably not be with us.
Goalkeepers can sometimes be unlucky. Good goalkeepers also concede very bad goals. They say the ball has eyes. If the ball has an intention, it enters from somewhere.
I don’t think it is right to judge the players. We will do the best we can do at the end of the season.

Karius may be returning to Liverpool this summer, but I see absolutely no future for him at the club.
His disaster in Kiev was the culmination of an inconsistent spell at Anfield, with his form too often unpredictable, from a terrible error at Bournemouth in 2016 to an embarrassing goal kick against Sunderland in the same year.
I don’t think he could ever feel completely at ease playing for the Reds again. Having confidence in yourself is one thing, but knowing the supporters are concerned about you playing makes life far harder, which could be the case.
With Alisson and Adrian between the sticks, Liverpool are well-stocked in goal, so I expect Karius to complete a move elsewhere before the beginning of next season.
