Jürgen Klopp says he wants his new club to play ‘memorable’ football but he won’t be raiding his former club to help him do it.
Since he joined the club last Thursday, a number of key Dortmund players have been linked with a move to Merseyside – including Hummels, Reus and Gundogan.

In an interview with BILD, Klopp dispelled these links, however.
That is in no way my approach. It’s only October, and I don’t even know how many games there are until then [the start of the January transfer window].
Klopp joins Liverpool under an air of expectation and excitement, something he’s realised and is keen to openly address.
There’s no question that my coaching team and I have taken on a huge challenge. But that was clear to us. Liverpool have not had any success for a long, long time and they’ve repeatedly changed their manager. In me, they’ve now hired a German who cannot perform any miracles either.
Whilst at Dortmund, Klopp worked with chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke, who stated he didn’t expect the German’s appointment at Anfield to cause any issues.
I am 100 percent certain that such a thing would never happen behind our backs. And Jurgen would also never do anything to harm BVB. We’re too close to each other and have experienced too much together for that to happen.
The 48-year-old clearly has a big task on his hands at Anfield. Whilst players from Dortmund are good enough to help him weather the challenge, especially those that have been linked, it sounds unlikely he’ll be revisiting BVB anytime soon for anything of that nature.
