As if he needed to provide supporters with more reason to love him in all of his bratwurst and sauerkraut-laden epithets, Jurgen Klopp’s dedication to the city of Liverpool has been reaffirmed through an anecdotal reference originally seen in the Echo.
Citing the work of the Liverpool FC Foundation, of which more information can be found here, Klopp decided to bring his players in for a meet and greet with some of the more prominent members of the organization, in order to foster closer ties between them.
Ever the connoisseur of man-management, he managed to not only put each party in further contact with one another, but encouraged nearly the entirety of the squad to volunteer to participate in a selection of one-of-a-kind fan/player interactions which would do wonders for invariably raising the foundation’s accessible funds.
Like a man of the cloth, he stands as a stoic reminder of the good which can be crafted and reconstituted for a multitude of purposes, not least of which includes community repatriation. In this case, however, the only exchange of capital comes in the form of true magnanimity, and an irreverent disdain for the exclusion of anyone who may fall victim to a number of preventable issues in the greater Liverpool area.
Through their work with the foundation, the players, as well as, Klopp himself, will be privileged and fortuitous to witness the growth of a charity that already works diligently to meet the needs of the people who reside from Croxteth to Greenbank.
With grace and ideal happenstance, he will likely stand to add further contribution from an already dedicated group of players, who have made it a mission to give back in a variety of ways.
