When speaking to beIn Sports last week, Jurgen Klopp was asked about the possibility of his club making a move to sign a star player such as Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho or PSG’s Kylian Mbappe and his reply was as follows:
If we can get one of them in the future, we will see but we will make the best of the situation we have.
He went on to say:
Look, I cannot answer those kinds of questions without creating headlines the next day, I know that’s what I don’t want to do!
On the back of that, French outlet Le10Sport (cited here by SportsMole) report that Mbappe is flattered by the interest in him from the reigning European champions.

The 21-year-old, who was just awarded the Golden Boot in France, has been linked with a move to Anfield for some time, but given his price tag and the current financial climate, it’s very difficult to see the Reds making a move for him this summer.
From a PR point of view, spending over £150m on a footballer in these difficult times would not be a particularly good look, whilst it would seem like a huge risk from a business point of view too.
Mbappe is obviously a world call footballer and would be a great addition to pretty much any team in the world, but like Klopp said “we’ll see” if he moves to Liverpool in the future, as it’s highly unlikely he’ll arrive this summer.
