Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has been sent to South Africa in an effort to boost his recovery from a problematic hamstring injury
Lallana sustained the injury in the club’s 2-1 victory at Crystal Palace in March, where he limped off only five minutes after coming on as a substitute.
The 29-year-old will spend time at the Sports Science Institute in Cape Town, having previously spent time in Qatar last October in a bid to aid recovery from a hip injury.

With the Reds only having four Premier League games and a two-legged Champions League semi-final against Roma to play, the English-man is unlikely to play for the Anfield outfit before the end of the season.
That almost certainly rules him out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the World Cup in Russia, having picked up 34 international caps for his country.
Lallana will be hoping he can return to the Melwood training ground as soon as possible and get a good pre-season under his belt ahead of the 2018-19 season.
