Liverpool have confirmed their squad for the Champions League clash with Salzburg this week and Adam Lallana has not made the cut.
The club has revealed that Lallana is struggling with a knock and is not fit enough to feature in the clutch Champions League match for the Reds.

He was absent for the comfortable win against Bournemouth over the weekend and there has been no update on a potential return date.

Lallana has been a squad player for Liverpool this season, but due to the injury to Fabinho he has played a few more minutes than, perhaps, was expected of him in recent weeks. The playmaking midfield also ended his goal drought earlier in the season to score against Manchester United, which has clearly added some extra confidence to his game.
His absence will be a blow for Liverpool off the bench, but they have more than enough quality to fill their midfield three for the game. Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita and Gini Wijnaldum could start in midfield, as they impressed in the weekend against Bournemouth on the south coast.
