Lallana touted with Fenerbahce switch

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana is a surprise target for Turkish side Fenerbahce according to Fotomac, via Caught Offside.

Fenerbahce, who are currently enduring a difficult season in the Turkish Süper Lig, sitting second from bottom with just three victories from their 17 league games, are reportedly after a loan move for Lallana who has seen limited game time at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp.

The England international is said to be considering his options following the interest from Turkey, though the move could depend on whether Fenerbahce can terminate the loan deal of Yassine Benzia.

Benzia joined the Turkish side on loan from French side Lille, with an option to buy at the end of the season, however Fenerbahce are hoping the loan deal is terminated in order for them to step up their pursuit of Lallana.

Liverpool have an embarrassment of riches in the midfield department this season following the signing’s of Xherdan Shaqiri, Fabinho and Naby Keita last summer, and Lallana has rarely featured when fit this season.

Klopp’s side are still challenging for the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup, however, meaning the former Southampton man could still have a role to play at Anfield during the second-half of the season.
