Jurgen Klopp has been appointed as Liverpool’s new manager on a three-year deal.
It’s been confirmed by the club this evening that the former Borussia Dortmund man will replace Brendan Rodgers.
Klopp, who’s 48, has had just two managerial spells prior to taking the Anfield hot seat, firstly at Mainz and then with Dortmund.

He comes to Merseyside with winning experience, however, having won the Bundesliga twice with Borussia Dortmund, as well as finishing runner-up in the Champions League in 2013.
Brendan Rodgers was released from his role with the club on Sunday following the Reds’ 1-1 draw with their neighbours, Everton.
A statement from Rodgers (via the LMA) on Monday read:
I am, of course, incredibly disappointed to be leaving Liverpool Football Club. It has been both an honour and a privilege to manage one of the game’s great clubs for the last three years.
Jurgen Klopp will definitely excite fans with his charisma and passion for the game. Supporters will also hope he can succeed where Brendan Rodgers fell short during his time with the club.
