It has been revealed that Liverpool made over £71.9 million from their run to the Champions League final last season.
The Reds shocked many by making it all the way to the final of Europe’s top club competition but were beaten out by Real Madrid in the final.
UEFA have revealed the funds given to sides in the Champions League and Europa League, and Liverpool topped the charts for British sides.
In a report on BBC Sport, is is revealed Liverpool earned over £71.9 million, only behind Real Madrid in the funding charts.

This compares to Manchester City, who only earned £56.5m after reaching the last eight, while Chelsea earned £57.6m, Tottenham earned £54.3m and Manchester United earned £35.7m.
Celtic received £29.6m after being knocked down into the Europa League.
The Reds had a memorable run in the Champions League last season, beating the likes of Manchester City and Roma to reach the final.
The Final was a disappointing evening for Jurgen Klopp’s side, who lost due to some errors and a fantastic effort by Gareth Bale.
