A number of Liverpool supporters have been expressing their delight at images of Thiago back in training.
The Spaniard has been absent for the Reds since the controversial Merseyside derby draw with Everton on October 17th.
Thiago was on the receiving end of a nasty tackle from Richarlison towards the end of the game, with the Brazilian getting a red card for his troubles.
Since then, Jurgen Klopp has reportedly kept the 29-year-old wrapped in cotton wool somewhat, not wanting to risk him in the matches against Ajax and Sheffield United.
The former Bayern Munich man has also been ruled out of Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Midtjylland, along with Joel Matip and Naby Keita.
Liverpool host West Ham in the Premier League this weekend and it looks as though that might be Thiago’s comeback game.
On Monday, footage emerged of the midfielder training alone at Melwood, suggesting he is now closing in on a return.
With Keita out and Fabinho predominantly playing at centre-back currently, Thiago’s importance is undeniable, not only because of his world-class quality, but also because it will allow Klopp to rotate.
These Liverpool supporters have been showing their happiness at Thiago’s fitness update on Twitter, lauding his imminent return to the fold.
